A Filipina domestic helper in Hong Kong was surprised to receive an all-expense paid vacation trip to Japan. The gift was from her former boss’ son whom she took care of for several years when she was then working for them.
The domestic worker, Adelaida “Aida” Valencia, who is currently employed by an American citizen living in Shau Kei Wan, shared that her ex-boss’s son, Tommy, had invited her to go on a trip to Japan for a vacation and offered to pay entirely for the trip, as shared in a report by sunwebhk.

Valencia recounted that young Tommy was more often than not, left to her care as both his parents were busy running the family business. Tommy, now a young man, said that “Aida” was like a mother to him as he was growing up.
Despite Aida changing employers, she did not lose contact with Tommy. She shared that Tommy is now an artist and a professional photographer who is based in Tokyo.
During one of their conversations, Aida told Tommy that she was planning to take a break from work and go on a vacation. Knowing this, Tommy decided to invite Aida to come to Japan, and even offered to cover her travel expenses, and accommodations in the country where he now has his own house.
Valencia shared that during her time in Tokyo; her former ward took good care of her, prepared her meals, and even took her sightseeing around city.
For his part, Tommy shared that he was grateful for Valencia’s dedication and help throughout the years that she stayed with their family. This was his way of giving back to Valencia for all the care and love that she had shared with him through the years.
Valencia was very proud to see that her former ward had grown up to be such a kind and compassionate man. She was also dearly grateful for his act of kindness and for the opportunity to travel to Japan for free.
